290 Corn planter

I am looking for the remote cylinder adapter for a 290 corn planter as the chain for the lift clutch keeps jumping off and I have tried every thing to fix it with no luck so figured I would just eliminate it all together.

This is what I am looking for numbers 1, 2, and 3 in the pic.

I looked it up in the parts book and i was wrong, they did make one,but you would be very lucky if
you found one i have seen 100 s of 290 & 490 planters never saw one with hyd lift

There was one posted on the the forum here the guy was wanting to restore it but the planter itself was in pretty bad shape I was going to ask him if he would sell the hydraulic parts off of it but I can't find the post again. Even if someone could give me the dimensions of the cylinder supports I could make them.

deerman35, if you got to parts depot there showing that they have the #2 part h2459b that you need , they dont have #1or3 , but you can still get part #2 your looking for , check it out, hope that helps some

I am 95% sure I have those parts, just had shoulder surgery this morning, so will be a few days before I can dig them out. Like you said, they should not be hard to fabricate. But, IIRC, there is also a bracket that is bolted on the frame also. I will keep watching this thread to see if you come up with anything.

I did see that the parts Depot had that part number but the description says pin instead of rod so I am going to see if the dealer can verify that it is the right part before I order it

Thanks Dave, if you do have them and would be willing to sell them or give me the dimensions I would greatly appreciate it

I found them.....all 3 pieces. My 290 book does not show them that I can find. So these had to come off a 490 that I parted out I guess. Let me know what to do now. Dave

Sweet....It was good meeting you guys. I haven't added the check-wire sprocket you brought me yet. I have a few more weeks till the shoulder heals enough. Life is Good Dave
