620 operating temperature

Really depends on what you use it for. For light work like bush hogging 5 - 10 acres you might get by with a stat that runs in the 190-195 range. Working it less than that I would use a stat that runs around 170. I put a 195 degree stat in one of my 70's and am sure it has not opened due to lack of hard work. Like to see that temp gauge work and know the coolant is circulating as it should.
 
My 630 warms up to 180 on the temp gauge.

Without a thermostat, it would barely move the needle.
