2240 fuel return line?

does the fuel return on a 2240 use regular rubber gas hose, it looks like it's awful close to the manifold there, i had trouble with mine leaking there and i don't need a fire

Early serial numbers used hose, later used different tee's and steel line.

As to the hose, DEERE currently shows to cut from a 5' length, Part #R68281, which is called "H2TB71 hose", whatever that means.

The 5' length costs about $25.00.

You could check at a diesel injection shop and see if they have something similar for a more reasonable price, IMHO.
