10 or 20 series L/D seals and bushings

Anyone have suggestions for 'how to' removal of load depth shaft bushings and seals on either a 3010 or 3020? Shaft came out easily enough, seals and bushings proving to be a little more stubborn.

Insert rod from opposite side then drive bushing out of trans case with a large hammer. If old L/D shaft is worn & requires replacement then utilize it to drive out bushings

If you have a helper sometimes it helps to put a shaft or driver against the bushing and have someone take another bar or screwdriver and pry down holding it in place while you drive it out. Make sure you are driving on the bushing and not the inside of the trans case. Check out Ebay for new style seals that are better than anything else made. They are a Deere seal that this company makes a holder for. Tom

Often the shaft is being replaced at the same time so I let about an inch stick out one side, weld the shaft to the bushing then drive bushing/shaft out. I then cut the shaft right next to the welded on bushing, re-insert the shaft into the remaining bushing and repeat the welding process.
