ive come to the conclusion after several problems that red tractors just dont like me,even though i grew up on them, m's and a c, [grin] now i have a jd 850 and its got a little bucket and a backhoe on it, i have some problems with it, but to be fair i haven't had the time to straighten it out yet, but its a little light for what i need, what im pondering is selling all mine, a wd allis, runs...needs restored, but has new engine, my ford jubilee, now this is a nice one,ive been thru it completely, its a working tractor and ive used it myself for more than 30 years, to work. it needs, well, nothing, my farmall cub, im going to put a new head gasket on it, its my mowing tractor, and with thermosiphon cooling, well i may have leaned on it a little, hence the gasket, it too is nice, the 850 is mine too, but i need the bucket to load my stake bed truck, what i want; i need to stay simple, probably manual trans, probably 2 cylinder unless theres something i dont know about . i grew up on narrow front tractors but all mine are wide front, i am open to either one, i know how to keep the shiny side up. i need to be able to haul it all over on a good tandem axle trailer, rated for 6000, it needs to run a 5 foot brush hog, a 6 foot finish mower, a post hole digger, a blade, box and straight ect, is this doable, and what am i looking for, a 630 is perfect, but heavy, a 530 or 520 would work, but i dont know models as well as i should, there may be some i dont know about this tractor , id like to mount a quick tach loader on too, it needs to be reliable, easy to fix if needed, the mowing, some is tall grass, a foot or so, other places is pasture and tall as my fords hood plus,

I don't remember seeing a JD 2 cyl with a quik-tach loader plus operating a loader with a tractor with a hand operated clutch doesn't sound like an easy task. FYI JD 530 tractor is one of the more sought after 2 cyl tractors by most collector's. I would much prefer a tractor with loader to have hyd shuttle or HST trans.

darn, your right that didnt click, a hand clutch with a loader would be quite a feat, im going to have to move into the 60's or newer, i ran a 301a with a farmhand loader, and it worked good, but it was very heavy

My vote would be a 2510 or 2520, may be a little on the heavy side, but you could strip her down pretty bare as far as weights go with what you need it for
