4430 Quad Range Shifting

Bought a wore out 4430. Trying to decide how far to take it. Had a Koyker 565 loader on it. Rebuilt the cylinders on loader to stop the leaks. Has joystick. Raises very slow. Hooked hoses to another tractor and same thing. Tractor shift plate is broke, but has lots of play in 1-2/3-4 lever. Wondering if what I think is part #4 can be removed? Trying to attach picture.

Also wondering if part #11 will help with abcd lever staying put?

On subject of shifter staying in A-B-C-D you should check to be sure shift arm(key 11) is snug against trans case after removing/check spring & ball(key 16) or pawl(key 17) dependent on tractor serial number to check their condition

Spring #11 helps to counter balance the weight of the shifter and was used on the latter 4430's
