JD 51 Plow

I think I am looking for a 51 plow to pull behind a L/LI tractor. I have a mounted plow for one of my L's and would like a trailer plow. Is the 51 a good fit for the L or should I be looking for something else? Anyone have a decent 51 they would like to part with?

Having experience using a L with cult to plow a garden in my youth it will shock me if a L has enough traction to pull a towed plow because I could make the L to loose traction with the 1 row cult if set a little to deep in loose soil

My club had our spring plow day Saturday. One of the members showed up with an original 1942 LA and a single bottom trailer plow. I am not sure what model plow it was. That little LA did a great job plowing, no issues at all. He did have wheel weights on, not sure if he also had liquid in the tires.
