What would u pay for mt. Need tires, carbuertor, motor is stuck, part of grill is missing, has been sitting outside for 3 year.guy is asking 1000 dollar.

It depends what you want to do with it. Current scrap is at $200 a ton , so scrap price would be about $300 plus some salvage parts value , maybe a total of $500. If you what to rebuild it , it could be a real money pit. Sounds like the asking price might be on the high side. Tom

My brother bought one a year ago for 600 at an auction. Good tires and a side mounted mower, motor stuck also.

Hey Gidtex,
As everyone has said here. With bad tires, stuck motor and beat up grill, just fixing that will cost more than the tractor is worth. You can only guess what it would cost every thing else that is wrong with it once you get it running. You either do it for the love of keeping an old tractor from the grave yard or it has some sentimental value, otherwise run don't walk away as fast as possible. Good Luck!

The tractor is barely worth 300.00 at the scrap yard, I wouldn't give much if any more than that.
I purchased a M model for 450.00, needed tires & the engine was stuck. He offered it to me for 200.00
& I said I'd go 450.00 & he included the M51 Mower, J/D snow Plow, 1 bottom 16 plow, cultivators & a
mounted weeder plus a 3 point hitch kit & 6foot J/D disc tractor had frt & rear weights & tire chains.
I use it almost every day now. I wish it had dual hydraulics & wonder if one could be used off a MT ?

Pretty sure you could use one off an MT, 40 or 420. Clearance at the right fender could be an issue as an M is closer.
