Unstyled a brakes

How can you best get brakes apart on unstyled model a when adjustment and shoes are rusted tight? Thanks in advance!

Take the nut off get a block of oak and drop the shaft on the block .

Yep. That is the method that works really good. Sometimes it takes a few tries on really bad ones.

Dropping them on a block of wood as was suggested works provided they are not set up to tight. I've seen them break the adjuster pins and bend the shoes trying to get them off if they are really stuck. Good luck, I quit buying froze up brakes just for that reason.
