I have a 4960 with the left hand side 3pt lift assist cylinder that is leaking at the shaft seal, I haven't looked closely at the cylinder yet as currently working on rebuilding the input planetary clutches at the moment, My question is can the cylinder be taken apart easily to replace the packing and seal or is it a welded together cylinder and would I be better off just taking the cylinder off and take to a hyd repair shop?
