4955 Transmission Issues

My friend tells me his 4955 wants to creep while clutch is engaged. Made it sound as if he takes it out of gear with clutch engaged it starts moving. Told me his friend said he had one with similar symptoms and cost him 18k in repair. Any ideas or things to check? Thanks,

It is normal for them to want to creep like that..if all other shift functions seem okay he has nothing to worry about..

I think it's more serious than that from what he's telling me. Made it sound as if he couldn't stop it with clutch. I'll ask tomorrow and try and get more info. Thanks for the reply and hope all is well!

when My 4960 is cold it kind of surges forward stop forward stop it will move if not put in park. been that way since new

I don't think he can stop his with the clutch when trying to hook up to equipment.

Sounds as if inching pedal valve isn't cutting off hyd pressure IE leaking internally. Possibly internal link in valve housing is worn.
