620 power steering hose

Been working on a 620 (57) After it has run for a few minutes I have a leak from the steering shaft housing where it attaches to the steering worm housing. Have put a new gasket, tightened as tight as I dare and it still leaks. This is not from the end toward back of tractor which is where the oil seal is. the leak is at the gasket end. Any suggestions? Could this be a relief valve problem or maybe I need to put some gasket seal there. thanks.

Are you saying it leaks at gasket #32, which is actually a shim(s)?

If so, there's no hydraulic pressure in that area, so a relief valve problem wouldn't be indicated.

And while gasket sealant (in moderation) sure can't hurt, it should seal without it.

I'd check to see that the surfaces are absolutely clean and not damaged, and that the locating dowel(s) is not somehow preventing the halves from pulling tight together to seal against the gasket/shim(s).

Also, could one of the castings be cracked?
