For any one out there that is having major issues with the hitch control system and would care to delete the electronic part of it ,,it can be done fairly easy.un plug and remove the rocker switch at the rear of the console,, run a fused wire from the accessory terminal on the circuit board under the left cowl,,run it through the cab floor and over to the rear of the back side of the console and up to where the rocker switch was,,using a momentary 3 position rocker switch (part #58027-04 from OReily auto parts) attach that feed wire to the middle terminal,,run a wire from the other 2 terminals down to the Up/down solenoids on the rockshaft this will let you raise/lower the hitch and it will stay put in any position, it will eliminate the load/depth and auto set functions,,But it will work well with out those functions. The diagnostic trouble shooting/repair sheet can be bewildering to most,,as well as replacing expensive componates and wire harnesses.. I realize this is not the normal way to make the hitch work...but it is a fast economical way to get the tractor back into the field.. As we see these newer electronic operated tractors get older we will be coming up with ways to delete troublesome control boxes and sensors...
