jd 430 power steering

I have a 430 that I am going to rebuild. It does not have power steering. Any idea what it cost to convert? Are parts even available?

Best to have a donor tractor. Rusty Acres or Farmer Johns may have the parts.

Would require another pedestal plus. Hardly worth the cost.

I also have a 430 with #35 loader and manual steering. I have looked at a couple options for power steering including using the drag link, sensor off of an old combine but so far have come up with nothing short of, as mentioned, buting one off of a donner tractor. Those sell for somewhere between $1000 and $1500.

Usually better to find a 420/430 with PS instead of converting a manual tractor.

It could be done easily with the power steering unit from a 70's/ 80's Ford car that fastens to the tie rods. I have seen them done with combine steering valves and dual cylinders replacing the old tie rods also but it gets more complicated.
