MT pinion bearing race

How can I remove a pinion bearing race from an MT case? The other races have a notch to attach a puller but the pinion race does not have a pronounced lip to hold on to.

ASSUMING you don't need to re-use it, burn in some weld at three or four places in the area where the rollers used to run, and allow it to completely cool. It will shrink enough to be pulled out with your fingers.

OBVIOUSLY, don't get so carried away you burn all the way through to the cast iron!

Looks like a long punch or rod you should be able to drive it out ?

When you put races in do you put them in the freezer?

Might not hurt if you have time ? But they usually don't go in that hard.
