Isn't a 415 a 3pt hitch plow? Your 48A doesn't have a 3pt hitch and most add on hitches don't live up to expectations.

I've found a 800 3 pt hitch for the tractor. Wondering if this is the right hitch. Tractor has plenty of power. Thanks for your reply.

The problem with the a is you won?t have any draft control on the 3pt, I don?t know the plow but you would be better off if it had gauge wheels.

You can forget using a 2x12" 3-point plow...you will never get the tractor narrow enough to put the rt rear tire in the furrow..

Besides, a 12" plow is nothing but trouble..plugs all too often..

It takes a really healthy "A" or Gas "60" to pull 3-14".. You DO have to have the Gauge wheel to control depth..

Originally, I believe the JD "A" was rated for 2x16" pull-type plow..

I had an "All-Fuel" JD 60 and tried a 3x14" 3-point...it would only pull that plow in 1st (Creeper) gear...it had the gauge wheel on it, too..and not over 6" deep..

My kids use a 2X12” model 415 plough with 14” bottoms for their ploughing club project . Works just fine on sod and wheat stubble.

Around here ( central Ohio), an "A" with a Power Block would pull 3x14"..otherwise not well..2nd and 1st gear..or like my All-Fuel..NOT at all///plowing in creeper gear aint "Plowing"..!

If your "A" has a fast first gear, maybe 1st all the time..
