Diesel Return Lines on 4430 Replacement Parts

Hi All,

I was wondering what people are doing for replacement on the diesel return lines from the injectors on the 4430's.

I don't think they sell the plastic pre-bent type anymore. Are people just using rubber gas line or upgrading to the 4450 steel
line style? If so do you have any part numbers?

Thank you,
Beefey

Since the 4450 would have different injectors, don't know if the return lines would fit. You will have less leaks with the line you have, 50 series rubber packings can get hard and seep.

Just talked with the JD dealer about the PN. Unfortunately that also contains the whole back half of the injector assembly (bolt
and fitting). I just need the plastic pieces.

That's an early 4430, has the early Bosch Y style injectors like 4320 used. Return line most likely is sold complete, lines and tees. Late 4430 uses straight injectors, with a hose barb that threads in the injector and the Stanadyne boot tee 16390.

Worthington is showing AR50732 used for $22.
JD price of $382 is a little steep.

Otherwise, you can put hoses, or make your own steel with 8mm banjo fittings.

Cheapest and best option is probably to cut the hoses and brass some copper lines on the fitting. Will take some times but not much money.
You probably need to drill 6 holes in a flat bar to support the tees while brazing.

If you can get the proper ID nylon fuel hose you can rebuild it yourself. Auto parts stores sell it under the "Dorman" brand name, as well as likely others. Or GOOGLE "nylon fuel line". 3/16" and up on ebay, as well.

Should be no different than installing a new plastic line onto the barb of the banjo fitting in the linked video, but I wouldn't think the hose clamps would be necessary for your application. Heat it up in hot water or with a heat gun and shove it over the metal barb.
Plastic fuel line repair

If it's just the hose sections you are looking for, I just used diesel rated fuel line from the local Napa. There is almost no pressure there and mine have held out for the last three years with no issue. Cut to length, install and go. Good luck.
