3020 Loader Mounting Question

How wide is the frame on a 3020 where loader brackets would bolt on? And how far from the front (where the slab weight bolts on) to the step? I don't have the tractor here so I can measure it. Looking at buying a loader and the seller said he thought it was off a 3020 but not sure. I would like to get the measurements to him so he can check before I travel half way across the country. Price of mounts, or lack of mounts, will affect what I would be wanting to pay. This is for a Westendorf WL-27 loader.

You didn't help the man. He asked for some dimensions and you gave him a parts catalog which doesn't answer his question.

Only data there was online to the public .

If it doesn't answer his question it makes no sense to post what you did. Just say nothing.

More info than what you posted . Now go take a couple of Midol.

Thanks. I already looked up everything on the Westendorf web site and even asked their tech help. All I got from them is "I need to order a new mounting bracket set." I may be a few days before going to look at it. Got up this morning to ice on the roads and covered with over 6" of snow and almost white out conditions.

How it mounts will depend on the brand and model of loader. Grandpa had a 3020 with a JD 46A loader. It attached to the axle housings and wrapped around the front and fastened to where the weights bolted on.

All JD Waterloo build row crop tractors from the 10 series clear up to the 55 series ( 3010 to 4455) where 20 1/2 inches wide at the frame rails. As for where the loader mounted from the front varied between models and brands. The average place was half way back the engine block to even with the starter.

On all of these tractors you will need a belly brace. The frame rails can carry the load but not the twist that a loader puts on them.

I don't know what Midol is but I'm guessing it must work wonders for you since you recommended it.
