G head bolts f579r

I am getting ready to put my '49 G back together, and was wondering if there's any way to tell if the old head bolts are OK to use again. I didn't have any problem using the old ones when I did my B, but the torque wasn't what a G requires. I'm hoping they're fine, since getting new ones is like a needle in a haystack, and would cost a small fortune if you did!

I would recommend new ones, the old ones are probably stretched.

Since they aren't torque to yield bolts, I would reuse them. I have reused them on a D that probably has just as high of torque with no issues.

The parts manual shows studs, not bolts. If IIRC the studs have a slight taper on the block end.

Sorry, they are studs. I've been calling them bolts when I worked on cars since the early 70's.

I got mine from Deere, but I guess that was 35 years ago.

Unfortunately, they're no longer available from Deere.
