Working on a 4450. It's getting engine oil
in the coolant. Plugged the radiator up
inside. I pulled the engine oil cooler out
and took it to the local radiator repair
shop. They put 145 lb of pressure on the
cooler and it did not leak. Can water pump
actually put engine oil into the coolant?
I've heard of them putting coolant into the
engine oil. Otherwise what do you guys
think head gasket? The engine was
overhauled roughly about 600 hours ago.

It's hardly ever the oil cooler on those,,since the liners were replaced recently I would call it the head gasket,,I have never had the water pump do that before..

I had w 4960 that was acting like yours last Fall,, it turned out to be a cracked head,,it was getting compression in the radiator,,you should check for that before you go down with it,, I use a radiator pressure checker,,on a Deere you need to use a spacer to make them work because of the deeper filler neck,, I use a packing for a 1 1/2" cam lock seal, works just right,(you can get them at Tractor Supply), seal it up and pump it up to 7lb. or so, then start the engine and bring it up to half throttle or so,, keep an eye on the gauge if it starts to climb be ready to shut it down,,the tester will not let go of the pressure..if you don't get any result with the engine at idle power it up by holding the brake and making it boost up some,,on my 4960 it started building pressure quickly..

Tim is more than likely right .When I first read it I assumed anti freeze in the engine oil which there was a problem with weep hole witch was an easy fix.Unfortunately yours isn't.

Had a 9500 combine that last year. Pulled head and it checked fine and gasket looked good. Never did find the cause and no more oil in radiator.
