Putting new tires and rims on my 620 and wanted to know if there is a difference between putting the wedges on the outside or on the inside of the rim. What does everyone else do ?

Thanks

I like to put the hub on with the tightening and jack bolts to the outside so you can get at them when needed.

No reason why you can't or so it looks. The only thing that makes me wonder would be if you were to use wheel weights.

Wheel weights will mount on inside, outside or both sides simultaneously of cast wheels

You can put them inside or out side and use ether rail on the rim they were made this way to give many differ-at spacing's

(quoted from post at 13:31:08 03/14/18) the correct wheel weights have notch so you can get a wrench the gear bolt to auj the wheels in or out

What you state is correct if 1st weight is installed matching timing mark on cast wheel then next weight is installed at 180°

If the centers are put on the axle 180 degrees from normal the wheel weights would have to be bolted on basically on the backside. I wonder how that would work.

Back in the 70's I've mounted 2 JD wheel weights on inside & 3 weights on outside of several new JD 4430's viia tractor purchaser request. I have no idea why anyone would desire to mount cast wheels with pinion bolt next to tractor.
