Changed out the fluid on a JD 310A because we saw water, was working just fine. Now it will not do anything, any suggestions

Drain the oil and check the sump screen,,if you have a back hoe on it that can be difficult..if the screen is plugged strong chance the brakes went bad and the lining let loose,, also there is a cone shaped piece in the filter bowl that holds the filter in place,,some times that will stick to the old filter and it gets tossed with out realizing it,,so check for that too,,I hope that is in place,,bad things happen when it's missing..

Sometimes the transmission pump won't pick up oil after
oil is drained. Transmission pump has to be disassembled
and reassembled using an anaerobic film. I can't remember
the name but I think it's a Loctite product. Hopefully
that won't be the problem.
Perhaps shifter cover could be removed and oil poured into
the pump?
