Did you get a closed center valve or one that can be converted to closed center and put the closed center plug in it ?
You were not holding down the clutch pedal while trying to run the loader were you ?

yes, ordered the closed center plug with the joystick and installed it. was not holding clutch pedal down

I would need to see what port your dumping the oil into. I usually return to the filter cup itself not the port behind it. If your dumping it where I think you are your dumping it back into the sump.
