6430 fuel bleeding

after changing the filters i was not able to get the filters to refill with just the key on. after multiple attempts i loosened the filter outlet line and the electric pump push the air out. the book was no help. has anyone found a better way or ran into problems priming filters?

Isn't there a plastic bleed screw in the filter head(s)?

the bleed screw is on the primary filter. the primary is on the suction side of the electric transfer pump. dealer said it was for bleeding the water from the bottom of the primary water separator filter

when changing filter replace them trun on key it is self bleeding.. ok so i had two different tractor that 6430 and 6230 that would not bleed that way end up changing the fuel pump i know once you get them bleed the ol pump worked fine deer has a up dated pump you have to change some lines and add a line i also recommend you replace all the fuel line
