coolant level 1950 B?

There should be a little ledge down in there pretty far. IIRC longer than I can touch with my fingers. That would be the spot.

Thanks Mike! That's about where it is now!
Now the rest of the story.
This is restoration in progress. Mild day before Christmas, I got smart (I thought) and topped up the coolant. Took tractor for a run and warmed it up. We'll, I had coolant blowing all over the place. Thought it was a rad issue and stripped it down, grill, hood, fuel tank etc. Seems there was no overflow pipe and coolant overflowed and fan sucked through the rad. Testing today and no coolant leak, thank goodness! Thanks to all on this fabulous forum!! Will start tapping on Monday.

I do hope you premixed the coolant before dumping it in. As it will not mix unless yours has an optional water pump ?

Thanks Mike. No water pump on the B, but coolant was well mixed before adding to the rad. Today's challenge was a leaky sediment bowl gasket. I finally left the fine screen out. Think I got it. I'm running an inline filter anyway.

I think, generally, that the more "ledge", the warmer it will run..

NO ledge and it may never warm up...unless you have good shutters..
