What do you think of the jd 2950?

Fellow has one for sale with a 148 loader and around 200 hours for sale I was looking at but don't know much about this model or what to look for. Seems to be low hours but accurate??

Have a real close look at everything that could wear . Use a coolant test strip to measure the corrosion inhibitor in the coolant. How are the loader hydraulics plumbed into the tractor ? http://www.tractordata.com/farm-tractors/000/1/2/122-john-deere-2950.html

There's been a bunch of info posted here recently on this topic, so don't forget the archives.

I seriously doubt the tractor has only been used 200 hrs. Maybe speed/hr meter has rolled over and it's 10,200 hrs. Check clutch pedal, drawbar & 3 pt balls for wear.

No way its 200 hours. Maybe 2000, but that would even be unlikely. In a nutshell, most people like driving them, just don't like repairing them!

200 hours will still have paint on the pedals and on the door near the latch release. Highly unlikely, and those have a 5 digit meter, so won't roll over til 99999 hours. Also, those electric meters have been known to stop working if not grounded properly. Otherwise a good tractor if well maintained.
