Got some done on LI

I got the brake bands back from the re-liner this week, they fit very well this time. We got the bands back in the housing, that is a PIA to get the pins in, and the bull gears are back on the frame. I will put the rear wheels on tomorrow, then pull the front axle, as it is bent and needs straightening. There is no way I wanted to pull the front until the rear was back on rubber.

Do you have the style of bands that only tighten up from one end or the style that pull tight on both ends ? At least the model LA's there were 2 types. The later ones pull from both ends work with tractor going forward and backwards. The early ones pulling from 1 end only do not work if you are headed up hill or a loading ramp and try to hold it from rolling back down hill.
BTDT so I changed my early one over.

This is a 1946.

The bands have a post on one end, and a pull clamp on the other that the brake rod goes to.

It is a bugger getting the rod pin in.
