Oil pressure gauge recomendation for JD 60

After my 60 warms up, the oil pressure will hover at about 4 or 5 lbs pressure. I have changed the oil and put in Rodilla 15-40 , a new filter, and adjusted the pressure screw top the max, and nothing seems to help increase the pressure. The oil pressure gauge is a generic gauge that I bought at Tractor Supply. Could this be the problem? I have read that you need a special John Deere oil gauge, and that regular oil gauges will not work accurately on two cylinder engines. Is this true? Is so, can someone recommend a guage that will work, and where to get it?

Sounds normal for a well worn engine. The pressure adjustment is a relief valve so the pressure doesn't get too high. Is does nothing at low pressure.

These are the best gauges to buy.

Try another gauge. Pressure is pressure. IIRC they are only to be like 15 psi at full throttle.

I decided to try an oil pressure gauge from Evergreen and was pleasantly surprised. I will never buy from anyone else. I have a shelf with other new oil pressure gauges that all read incorrectly.
