Plow for Model M

I am learning how to use my two bottom (M2/M2A) plow for model M tractor. I purchased the operators manual and it was pretty helpful but I wanted to get some clarification. Two questions 1) do I have the hitch plate spacers set correctly (a photo would help) and 2) if I install a rear wheel will it fit with a long landslide that is on the rear moldboard. I have attached two photographs.

I might be wrong but it looks to me like you have a M1 hitch and a M2 plow. I was thinking the M2 only had room for 5 spacers while the M1 had 7. Looks like your's has room for 7??? You need to drop the plow in the ground to check the spacer setting. Assuming you have 12 in bottoms ( could be 10, 12, 14, 16 ) the front cut should be 12 in or a tad under. Each spacer will change the cut approximately 1/2 inch. Looking from the side the end of the landslide should be about even with the rear of the bottom. Yes the furrow wheel should fit.

BTW - To measure your bottom size lay a line along the landslide (plus the small tip extrusion) and then another one along side the outside tip parallel to the first line and measure between the two.

I believe these are 12" bottoms. I saw a stamp on the moldboard (SP212) plus the measurement between the two moldboards is approximately 12"

I have extra original spacers and a short landside for those plows that I am planning on selling if you are interested.

I had a MT and had both 1 and 2 bottom plows I ran. I am not positive as that was going on two years ago now, that you may have the triangle that goes on the lift arm backwards. Again that could be the difference between an M and MT though. I never recall setting either of my 2 bottoms up with that 2nd arm off the plow itself on the rod outside of the triangle bracket on the lift arms.

. Looks like you need to move the plow to the left. Definitely on the other side of the ears on the hitch plate. My book shows the same hitch plate as the M-1 plow.
