And I was thinking for the price that?s a pretty good deal my original spring was born in 1967 or so and it?s gettinf a little weak

I only replaced the shock absorber on both 4020's when they started bottoming out. It did the trick but IIRC I had to get creative getting the new shock and old spring back together. It worked neither seat bottoms out now.

If I remember, you can buy this whole unit for what deere wants just for the shock absorber. Then you don't have to worry about getting the old one apart and then back together again. I just about broke my kneecap one day when that spring shot off. Decided the whole assembly was well worth it.

I'm with NewGen and TimS, get the whole assembly complete. It was not available like that when I redid my 4010 years ago and that spring just about did two of us in trying to get in back together when that spring comes flying off there!!

I?d imagine a spring that big would knock a guys block off alright . That?s why I was thinking about just getting this whole assembly
