3020 syncro help?

So I have the top shaft out of this 3020 and was looking for all of the wear points that would cause it to jump out of high range. Dealer does not have a new shifter that I could measure. Part AR77821. Anyone know what it should measure were it fits over the syncro's? Mine is 1.882. Thanks

No need to measure... you can see wear step.
Drums, synchronizers and shifters will need
replacing.
Too many people try to get by with just
replacing a few parts only to have to tear
tear tractors down again.

Like D stated you can tell by looking and chances are strong that you will need them,, if they are worn it will not tuck the shift into place, here is a basic parts list for what you will need,,I used A&I parts where I could it will save you about $300,you should look at the trans pump too while you have it on the bench.this did not transfer well, Darn it

Part No.

I had at one time the factory drawings for the shifter for the 2510 complete with dimensions. Sorry I have no idea where it is now. I had repaired the top shaft in this tractor replacing all the well worn parts but could not make it shift properly. It was apart and together so many times that I could split it in 20 minutes. I had a couple of older mechanics look at and check my work, no improvement. After obtaining the drawings and measuring I found that the new shifter had been machined incorrectly.
As much as I like the 2510 I can't look at one today without thinking of that work order (#6724).
The good news is that I have done a lot of top shafts since with no issues.
