JD450b frozen steering clutch fix

I spent hours and days trying to break free a frozen steering clutch and researching how to free it on this and other sites. I came to realize that the discs had swollen up and the throw out bearing could not release the pressure plate even with the adjustment backed all the way down. I tried shimming the pressure plate off the brake drum by 3/16 and it worked great. Here are some video's I made explaining the process. I'm posting this so others that have this issue can give it a try before tearing the clutches out.

You need to pull that clutch apart to fix it.
