JD 4430 Hood

Looked at a 4430 recently that may need a hood. The Fiberglas nose on the front is gone. Can a good fiberglass man rebuild this?I looked for a hood online and they seem pricey for what little I saw right quick. Thanks for the info!

Check https://www.newparistractor.com. They have a 4430 they took in September of 17, may still have the nose piece. They ship.

R52363 is $245 at the dealer or $100 used at major salvage yards.

Do not forget that that broken hood could be the three in front of the forest (this idiom make sense in French, not sure if it does in English). Meaning do not forget to check the rest of the tractor because the rest can cause way more to fix.

I like mecanically sound tractors with cosmetic damage on the cheap / easy to find aftermarket parts: Side grill missing, poor interior, poor seat, cracked plastics or lights... This depreciate a lot a tractor, but you would not change those components on an average one, and still get average looking tractor.
So you better off get the bad looking ones and make them look great.

Thanks for the info fellas. It was a little hard to understand that line you quoted when I first read it, especially the three that should have been tree. I got what you meant though and do appreciate the input!

I bought a new nose and light bar for a 4450 hood not long ago. Sent the hood itself to the body-shop for an overhaul(loader accident).

If I'm not mistaken the newer style with a light bar should bolt onto a 4430 if you wwant to up-grade
