John Deere 60 carb

If you think it needs set,,it probably needs rebuilt,, send it to Poppin John in New York,,he will go through it and set it on a tractor at his shop, for around $150,,well worth doing..there are some idle ports that get clogged and are near impossible to clean..

2nd the Poppin John suggestion. Hes done several for me with great results. A 50, 620, 39 H, 40 B and US B.

Have had Poppin John rebuild a couple for me and it will look and work like new when it comes back. Reddy for paint or not.

Universal starting point is 1 1/2 turns out from full off for just about anything from go-carts to aeroplanes. And of course your mileage may vary there as that's a rather broad brush. It should be close enough to start at least and then you adjust from there as the engine needs.

I see you are in SE Iowa. You could send it to Robert's carb in Spencer Ia. They are slow so if you need it right away Poppin John might get it back to you quicker.

I sent my carburetors for my 1955 60 and 1951 A to Popin John in New York. It made a world of difference when I got them back. Very reasonable too.
