JD 435 2 cylinder

I've a 435 to restore and was wondering if front weight(s) were available for these, or maybe Deere thought the Detroit was enough weight. I've looked at many pictures and never seen one with front weights.

Polk's has several listed..starter weights and the add on second weight. newparistractorparts
 
I know what I'm in for, that isn't what I was asking about. Can someone post a picture with a 435 with front weights.
 

Sales and promotional literature listed front weights iirc. There was something about the front weights not being on the option list .
I suppose if you want to try to manually steer a 435 with added front weights , go ahead . If you have enough weight on the three point hitch to make the front end light , she is way overloaded .
 
As I said, this is a restoration, the tractor is fully optioned, but would like front weights if available. It will never do more than pull a plow on plow day.
 

Front weights for the 435 officially don’t exist as an option . If you want to be 100%, don’t Install front weights .
 
Take a REAL CLOSE look at those bolts that hold the front axle on. Then think about hanging more weight up there. My biggest disapointment is the 3 point hitch. The detroit doesn't come close to leaking as much oil as that 3 point. My old 238 might have come close. A good little tractor except for that.

The tail end of the 30 series production upgraded the rockshaft to use bushings and updated seals. Oil leakage is a thing of the past.
