In the dash, what's the small hole directly above the main switch for? I thought someone drilled it but seen several more with the same hole. Just curious.

The pedestal (panel) is used on the M, MI, and MT. There should be 2 unused holes. The one in the center is used on the MI when there is an MI-7 belly mower hooked up to it. On the mower there is a kill switch that will cut the ignition system out if you hit something to trip the cutter bar. They install a manual override switch in the center hole so you can start the tractor again and back up to reset the cutter bar. You must hold the button in until the kill switch is deactivated.

The other unused hole is in the upper right corner, this is for the shutter control if your lucky enough to have an all-fuel tractor.

Thanks Hay maker2!

This is what I did on my MT was added a dash light through the hole. It worked nicely for seeing gauges in the dark and almost looked like it should be there.

(quoted from post at 06:28:23 01/13/18) Center hole is for the all fuel selector rod.

Yes the center hole can be used for the fuel selector rod, but it is also used for the push button as stated.
