70D flywheel

Like one that someone has tried to tighten using a new grade 8 nut on an original (already stretched) bolt with an oil stain on the ground. Could be a normal flywheel on a 70D that is just marking it's spot in the shed as some of mine do, hard to say just looking.

Outside of obvious cracks, you can not tell the condition just by looking. The new nuts indicate there may have been a problem in the past. Best test is to loosen the bolts and check to see if there is ANY rotational movement of the flywheel on the crankshaft. If there is both the flywheel and crankshaft splines are worn.

One new nut on an old bolt could be indications that some cheapskate was cutting corners during repair and service . A pair of new bolts, nuts and washers are not expensive or difficult to find .
