Just picked up a 430W

Pretty decent 59, used by the original owners to tend a nursery, and parked inside. Owners' son flooded it when I got there, finally got it going, ran it for a while and shut down for a lookaround. Ran a 420 a lot as a kid in NY, my uncle had one and it did most of the spraying etc while the two 706Ds did the heavy stuff. Went to start it again about a half hour later while he was outside on the phone, scratched it under the chin just right, ki-y-popopop, didn't even turn all the way over, just like the old 420. He came in grinning, and I had to admit that critter was rubbing against my leg and purring, talking to me- got it to idle way down, pop pop pop... Dual TOM, almost everything there, nice Goodyears on the back, maybe original, never worked hard in its life. Sheet metal pretty good, nose needs a little work but not bad, lights there, original guages all work etc. He could see we were bonding, and his dad wanted it to go to someone who'd appreciate it- had an old Dearborn plow out front, and he know I had a low- hours 8N, so he says well we may as well hook the plow up to it before you go lol...

Nice little tractors. My grandpa and I put
up a lot of hay with a 430. I tried for
years to buy/trade for that tractor. He
won't come off it,loved that thing, so I
found another. I use mine all the time to
move stuff around and as as a back up hay
tedder tractor. His and mine are both very
easy starters. Only need choked if it's
really cold out or you end up flooding
them.
