Model B noise from the Governor

I gave my 46 B its first workout today and it was working great but the last few minuets it started making a ticking noise from the governor. I could hear it from both sides.
Any ideas what it mite be.
Thanks

Would it be the pins and or the weights that are worn and slapping around. The noise just started it wasn't a gradual increase in noise

To access the weight do I need to remove the complete assemble or can it pull the shaft from the left side.

Governor shaft can come out the left side but it's always best to first remove the magneto or distributor and then put that back on last. Otherwise you can bend/break the magneto/distributor shaft if the slots and keys don't mesh when the left side bearing cover is bolted back on. And it's extremely easy to forget that you can ruin whatever is hanging off the right side when all your focus is on the left.

It will test your patience no small amount, and you might have to roll the flywheel around too. But in one spot the governor will barely slide out completely and let you get at the weights to see what might be wrong there. It could be a lack of oiling due to gummed up oil spray hole that might be a treat to find because they typically are .040 or so in size. Throttle linkage also has to come apart.

The one thing I didn't take apart during the restoration was the governor because it appeared to be OK. With the workout it started to leak oil at the left side of the base so it may be getting oil but I'll check the oiling system.
Thanks for the info

So I wanted to pull the complete governor off because the gasket was leaking. Pulled all the parts off and then was taking the oil line from the underside in the crank case and the line fell off. There's the problem. The oil line assemble from the oil filter head to the cam was broken off. Why would that brake all of a sudden. Needless to say I had a lot of fun making the repairs.
One thing I found I didn't think was correct is there was no oil passage oiling the governor shaft at the magneto end were the oil line threads into the governor that only goes to the pressure gauge. When I took the fan shaft off the gears didn't have any oil on them. I looked for an oil hole in the housing but found nothing.
Am I missing something.
