Bosch inline primer pump

The primer plunger leaks bad on the injection pump on the 4650 and I need to replace it. Does the primer pump just easily unscrew from the injection pump or is there parts that might go flying like springs, balls etc?

There's a little spring and a check valve in the transfer pump body, beneath the primer pump. If you slowly and carefully remove the primer pump they will stay put and not be an issue.

(quoted from post at 14:19:29 01/09/18) New style Bosch primers I use are part # 2 447 010 033. New style is push down, spring loaded back up. Threads right in place of the old one.

The one I got from Deere is Bosch 2 447 222 126. It’s spring return like you describe. Thanks guys for the advice. Right now I’m don’t have the time to just ‘take it apart and see what’s in there’.

Bob thanks for the advice on the spring. When I unscrewed the old pump I watched for the spring and had to poke my fingernail in there to hold the spring down. The new plunger works so I must have done something right. LOL
