The post about the splitter hydraulics was getting tired so I started a new one......It seems Mannheim/Dubuque
hydraulics are a topic which can be hard to grasp. Yes many people on here are talented but many are also users of the
machines not repair experts.
I posted the kit number that would flow return oil back into the filter base ("supercharging the front pump" as one of
my instructors called it) as a relativly simple way to let his set up work. I did not realize the tractor was plumbed
in the (ideal)manner for a loader with an independent valve.
The kit I pointed out is called a motor return kit in some catalogs. The first I experienced its use would be
somewhere around 1975 when my in laws bought a new 2130 and an 8 row planter. The motor return kit was installed at
the dealers to allow for proper operation of the fertilizer cross auger. When this kit is in place the system can
really work as it needs to.

I had one on a 2120 that we used on a automatic hay stooker, to run the orbit motor. that was years ago.

All the motor return kit is doing is bypassing the transmission/charge pump. So the main pump can pump at higher volume for longer periods of time. Returning the loader control valve the same way is doing the same thing.
