3155 levers

I noticed this 3155 for sale, I have never seen a deere with this layout. What is the big red lever on right side of dash? What is the second red lever by the seat, I assume one is the throttle. Shift
pattern is different than any Deere I have seen. Two black levers are for the loader, I asssume the two orange levers are for gears and ranges? Was the 3155 a good tractor, I don't think I have ever seen one before?

Large lever to the right of the center console is the handbrake, round knob lever behind the throttle is hi/lo shift

I used to drive my neighbors 3155 lots of times and also my 2555. The red lever by the throttle is the 2 speed power shift lever that you can use on the fly. This gives you 2 speeds in each gear. The other two orange levers are for the gear shift, 2 range positions and 4 gears in each range and also the low range reverse position. Not sure about the little black lever by the joy-stick. You engage the 4-wheel drive with a rocker switch on the dash, at least on the one my neighbor has. Been a few years sine I driven either one since both been replaced by newer JDs. Al

Good tractor, one size up from a 2955 of which there are lots here. Different altogether from the Waterloo Deeres, but still a very good tractor. Electric 4wd engagement on the dash, long red lever is handbrake, yellow lever must be lifted up to engage pto. Diff lock should be a knob you push down by hand near your left heel. Tilt wheel is a short black lever under the steering wheel, near the floor.Get a manual for proper care and feeding!

I have a 3150 and the four speed shifter on the left has two shifts for each gear if you push the shifter to the right or left. Same as the quad shift. This must have not worked to well so they went back to a lever like the 2950 cab tractor had. I also have a 2950 open station, but the turtle rabbit are on the dash almost like a turn signal. The 3150-3155 are like a 2950-55 hopped up. Same from the clutch forward, but much heavier rear end and 3pt. I have had good service from both of mine and use them hard. They have held up well. They are very comfortable tractors, good on fuel, and easy cold weather starters. Al

I have a 3155 with about 4500 hours on it. Great running and operating tractor, starts good in any weather. Hydraulics and 3-point work well. I liked it so much I bought a 2955 open station to go with it. As stated, FWD operates by rocker switch on the dash. Red lever to right of dash is parking brake. Small two-position lever behind the throttle is the hi-lo. Get a manual. Good luck with it if you buy.
