1020 countershaft friction plug thickness

I had to take the low, reverse countershaft out of the trans. I was wondering what the thickness of the brass on a new plug would be. Mine are worn somewhat crooked also. My pilot bearing was partially seized, so I don't really know how well they were working as a brake.

I found a set on ebay to look at. They have grooves on the end of the brass. Mine do not, so I guess they are worn down pretty far. Already sinking a pile of money into this old tractor that I may only use 20 hrs a year. What's another $80 I guess. It had the spider gears go out of the rear about 20 years ago and only the big chunks were removed and had metal through all the pumps. Found the thrust washer for the low range countershaft below the metal transmission baffle and a homemade washer on the countershaft. So who knows if the metal issue started since the transmission was apart. I'm gonna put the correct washer where it belongs on the countershaft, but I think I'll replace the friction plugs since its apart now.
