I have a nephew that may need mounts for his 4040, he found a loader but is mounted on a 2840, he would be willing to trade mounts. He is located by New Prague Minnesota. thx chris

Although I never attempted to utilize Mannheim 6 cyl tractor loader mounts on a Waterloo tractor I see no reason they should not fit. In fact I think 2840 mounting brackets might be stronger than Rowcrop mounting brackets especially if one added some more holes in bracket to match RC side frames.

I bought a set of mounts for my 4520 that were suppose to be for a 158. They are for a 148. I live north of Bismarck N. D. .

I agree. I like the brackets that go back to the axle as well. Before buying a set I would but what he has up beside the tractor and see if they could be made to work. I might consider having a welding shop add on to the front and do a wrap around like the factory row crop brackets. Tom

I was looking for a new loader for my 1953 70 after the old one disintegrated one sunny day. I put out the word that I needed to know what would fit on a 70, and was solidly advised that the xxx was the one to get. I got an xxx from Abilene Machine and it's mounted and working well. Between those two points there were a lot of hot lubricating words. The basic problem was that somewhere in the history of the 70 and the xxx, one or both got a little out of factory dimension. The moral of my story is to have good will with your local machine shop. They may be indeed needed. Best of the Season to you!

I added channel iron brackets to the rear of the factory side brackets. They go to the rear axle. Photoshop won"t let me post their pix here anymore, but some pix might be in archives from an earlier post.
