Any other 2-cyl JD Forums/Sites Out there?

Just curious if there was any other websites and forums that specialize in the older JD tractors.....preferably the 2 cylinder ones. I did find "Green Tractor Talk" and tried to register there but the site isn't working right.

I'm new to the JD tractors, so not familiar with them and what all is on the internet like I am the Farmalls.

GOOGLE a website with the first name [b:654c4848f0]ANTIQUE[/b:654c4848f0] middle name [b:654c4848f0]TRACTORS[/b:654c4848f0] last name [b:654c4848f0]FORUM[/b:654c4848f0] for classic John Deere tractors.

There is not as much activity as there is on this John Deere forum.

There are a couple on Facebook devoted to 2-cly John Deeres. But I have to warn you, there is a lot and I mean a LOT of misinformation on the one I'm on. That's why I like this forum, we are fortunate to have some pretty well informed people here.

I don't profess to be an expert on Deere tractors, but have spent many many hours on them. There's only one old Deere service tech on Green Tractor Talk that knows anything about 2-cylinder Deere's, JD-110 I think his handle is. Couple other techs are too young to even have any New Generation experience.

I used to post some there but if you don't own a 1026R, a 1023E, or a 1025R toy tractor they totally ignor you there.

I used to go on Forty-Twenty.com about once a month to see if anyone had posted. They get about one post every 2-3 months.

I'm surprised there's so few Deere sites. Frustrated guys with green tractor problems post questions in the Coffee Shop forum of the Red Power Magazine forum, but you better subscribe to the magazine. No rule saying you have to subcribe, but it's just good manners.

(quoted from post at 23:45:09 12/14/17) Johnnypopper.com used to be really good (8-10 years ago), but lately there is very little activity there. Curious as to why.

Thank you all for the info. I'm just trying to find any information I can since I don't know anything about these tractors. I'm trying to get mine running and having trouble with it. Take a look at my other thread I've been posting about to see what's going on.

John, I guess that site is slow because most of the ole geezers that worked the 2 cylinders have passed. Seems the interest is in the new generation or later, as seen on this site. There is still a lot of good info there, and a few guys check in often. But like you said...not much activity. Maybe the ole 2banger glory years have passed....sad day I'm tellin' ya. Dave

John, when they changed the format several years ago it declined quickly. Became harder to use ("for us old geezers")
