630 gas jd

What would you pay for a 630 jd that had been run low of oil , now motor is locked up, wide front and 3 point tractor has several oil leaks, thanks

$1000 to 1500, depending on the condition of the tires and sheet metal.

It probably would part out over 3000 with a wide front and 3pt.

If I can buy it I will fix it, not part it out and I will probably offer around 1800 I think that would be ok place to start. I know were one running with narrow front is for 2500. But I wanted to get another opinion. thank you all, but I also know how expensive this could be at the end of the tunnel.

Sounds like 700.00 is not much difference considering the $$$$$'s and skinned knuckles.

Rick, it may well not have "run out of oil", but had the Rt Main bearing (and rt rod bearing) starve for oil from the passage to them being plugged by a swollen O-ring seal behind the rt main brg, quill..

One main clue would be that engine oil would be going into the transmission..

Before you leap....check out the price of new main bearings,rod bearings and gasket sets from JD and machine shop rates to repair the crankshaft if needed. In my experience this would be an expensive fix. If it galled the metal surfaces you must make sure all metal particles are removed from the oil system during reassembly.
