A while back I posted pictures of the neighbors 4055 I have been working on. I had not competed the right step kit and tool box mounting location yet. Here is the right step I built and the new tool box location.
I agree the right side is not the preferred side but with MFWD and later to be added fenders the tool box has limited locations. I put a JD Step Kit on the left side so given the fender swing there was not room for the tool box on the left.
The step treads I used are from Deere. The hand rail is a RH hand rail from K&M.
The plate the tool box is mounted to extends under the battery box and ties into the brackets for the steps. Like the LH JD Original and Improved Step Kit the top plate is bolted to the bottom of the battery box.
It is a very stiff step. It will be handy for washing windows, straightening mirrors knocked out of adjustment, and other RH side maintenance items.
