Used to be an after market pump that mounted with distributor is something like that still available?

The pump you're talking about was made by Deere for the 50/60/70 and could also be used on the A/B/G. It mounted between the governor housing and the mag/dist.
They're no longer available from Deere and I don't know of anybody making a similar pump.
Your best bet would probably be eBay.

Here's one for $200. Any used one will probably need seals at both ends and the clutch collar & pump shaft replaced.

I agree, my goof. Must have been thinking about the 800 series hitches which were introduced for the 50/60/70.
