Exhaust manifold oil leak John Deere M

I?ve noticed that there is a small external oil leak at the exhaust manifold on my M. Seems to be coming through right at the gasket. What would cause this? It does not smoke or burn oil.

Hey Donmyeil,
We call it slobber. Usually mostly seen with diesels not run hard enough. Gas tractors usually foul plugs before they slobber but some will. Run her hard for awhile and it'll burn off.
Good Luck! John

Be sure it isn't losing coolant somewhere. I don't work on a lot of Deere's, but I have had to change cracked heads on 2 M's and a 40. All 3 were cracked in the exhaust port. 2 were wet/oily looking around the exhaust manifold and had a little in the pan, the other would totally fill the pan in a short period of time. Something to think about anyway
