Hey guys I have a 69 55 John Deere combine and the problem iam having is the header raise and lower. When it’s lower rpm the head raises and lowers fine. But when I have the engine reved up it’s real jumpy almost like it gets stuck and you have to pull the lever back to get it to stop. Is there a solenoid on them that could be bad. Also I have a 313 corn head on it has anyone had any experience with them? Is there something I can do or use to replace the paddles in the throat?

There are no solenoids unless a header control of some sort has been added. The hydraulic valves are under the cab floor. The one thing that comes to mind is a piece of junk stuck in a valve. When the engine is revved up the increased oil flow pushes the junk into the valve, when the engine is running slow the junk backs out.

that very well could be I have one even when it’s reved up it’s so smooth but tvOS other combine is just really jumpy and nothing smooth about it. This valve block is under the cab is there a way to clean it or something thanks for the input.
